Need equipment? Have equipment?
Buyers post one request and get quotes from verified suppliers. Suppliers list free and reach active demand.
No equipment is listed for hire in India today. EquipmentsFinder has only just opened its India site, and the first suppliers are still to come. This page explains how hiring will work once they do, and what you can do in the meantime.
EquipmentsFinder is a marketplace, not a rental company. Suppliers publish their machines, and contractors, builders and site managers contact them directly by phone or WhatsApp. Renters pay the marketplace nothing and it takes no commission. Suppliers list for free.
Prices on the India site are shown in INR, and suppliers can list their rates in rupees. Until listings appear, the quickest route is to post a request describing the machine, the site and the dates. It reaches verified suppliers, who reply with a quote.
The marketplace is built to carry the full range of site machinery: excavators, wheel loaders, dozers, backhoe loaders, skid steers and motor graders for earthworks; cranes, aerial platforms and lifting equipment for height and heavy lifts; compactors, rollers, asphalt pavers and milling machines for roads; concrete pumps and batching plants for pours; and generators, compressors, containers, trailers and trucks for site support. Attachments and spare parts are covered too. Nothing in these groups is listed yet.
Browse by category: aerial platforms, asphalt pavers, attachments, backhoe loaders, boom loaders, combination rollers, compactors, compressors, concrete batching plants, concrete pumps, container stackers, containers, cranes, crushers, dozers, drilling machines & rigs, engines, excavators, generators, horizontal drilling rigs, lifting equipment, milling machines, motor graders, other equipment, pipe layers, skid steers, spare parts, trailers, trucks, vehicles & buses, wheel loaders.
No rates are published because nothing is listed. Each supplier sets its own, usually by the day, week or month, and states them on the listing or when you ask for a quote. Ask whether the price covers an operator, fuel, delivery and return, and whether GST is added. Confirm all of this with the supplier before booking.
The India site starts with six metro areas: Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad. Heavy machines usually travel between cities on a trailer, so a supplier in one metro may serve a site some distance away. Delivery is agreed with the supplier.
Typical hirers are builders, infrastructure contractors, warehouse and plant developers, and facility teams who need a machine for a defined job rather than a purchase. If you would rather own the machine, see equipment for sale in India.
If you own machines that sit idle between jobs, list them for hire. Listing is free. You can also browse the inquiry board to see what renters are asking for.
Suppliers list machines with their own terms. A renter finds a listing, or posts a request, and speaks to the supplier by phone or WhatsApp to agree dates, price and delivery. The marketplace does not hold the contract or take a commission. India has no listings yet, so a request is the practical start.
It depends on how long the machine will be busy. Short or one-off jobs, such as a single pour or a month of earthworks, usually favour hire because there is no purchase, storage or resale. Machines used most of the year may be cheaper to own. Compare supplier quotes before deciding.
Give the machine type and size, the site location, the start date and duration, and whether an operator is needed. Mention access limits such as narrow gates or soft ground, and any lifting or reach requirement. The more exact the request, the fewer follow-up questions.
Some suppliers offer daily hire and others set a minimum period, often because of transport. This is decided by each supplier and stated on the listing or in the quote. Ask about mobilisation and return costs, as they weigh heavily on a short hire.
Whether GST is charged, and at what rate, depends on the supplier and the type of supply, so ask for it to be shown separately in the quote. E-way bill needs depend on the movement and the goods. Confirm both with the supplier and your accountant rather than assuming.
Yes. Any supplier can list equipment on the India site for free, with rates in INR and contact details for phone and WhatsApp. Posting an ad is the way to start. Paid plans exist for suppliers who want extra visibility, but they are optional.
