Need equipment? Have equipment?
Buyers post one request and get quotes from verified suppliers. Suppliers list free and reach active demand.
No containers are listed for hire in India today. Storage containers, portacabin-style offices and refrigerated units will appear here once suppliers list them. If a site needs space soon, post a request and verified suppliers can reply with a quote.
Describe what the container is for, the size you want, the delivery address and how long you need it. Suppliers with a suitable unit contact you by phone or WhatsApp to agree the price and the date. EquipmentsFinder charges renters nothing and takes no commission. Prices will be shown in INR where a supplier states them, and GST should be shown separately.
Storage containers are secure steel boxes for tools, cement, stock and materials. Office or portacabin containers are fitted out with windows, doors, lighting and sometimes air conditioning, and are used as site offices, security cabins and workers' rest rooms. Refrigerated containers hold a controlled temperature for food, medicines or other perishables, and need a power supply.
Standard sizes are the 20 ft and 40 ft box. A 20 ft unit is easier to place and move in a tight plot, while a 40 ft unit gives more floor area for a stock room or a larger office. Think about the doors, shelving, lighting, ventilation and a lock that suits the contents.
Storage and accommodation are different uses. A site office needs insulation, power points and a place for it to stand, with a levelled base. Refrigeration needs a reliable supply or a generator. Check where the unit will sit and whether the delivery truck or crane can reach that spot.
Choose the spot before delivery and level the base, because a container on soft ground tilts and its doors jam. A delivery truck needs a straight approach and enough turning room, and a crane-equipped truck needs clear overhead space. Owners of containers can list them for free.
The six India metro areas are Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad. Containers arrive on a flatbed or a crane-equipped truck. See the India rental hub for other categories, or containers for sale if you need one permanently.
No rates are published because nothing is listed yet. Suppliers set prices per month or per week, and the figure depends on size, fit-out and whether it is a storage, office or refrigerated unit. Ask for delivery and collection to be priced separately, with GST shown.
Choose by use. For secure storage a plain steel container is enough, for a site office or accommodation ask for a fitted-out cabin, and for perishables a refrigerated unit with a power supply. Tell the supplier the number of people or the stock to be held.
Nothing is listed yet, so this depends on what suppliers publish. The usual sizes are 20 ft and 40 ft, with plain, partitioned and fitted-out versions. Ask each supplier to confirm the size and fit-out before booking.
Unlikely to be practical, because delivery and collection cost far more than a single day's rent. Suppliers normally set a minimum period of weeks or months. Each supplier decides this and states it on the listing or in the quote.
Coverage depends on each supplier and is stated on the listing or in the quote. The site starts with six metro areas. Delivery charge usually rises with distance, so ask for the total before you agree.
That depends on the unit and the supplier. A fitted-out cabin may have lights, sockets and a cooling unit, but it still needs a power supply on site. The listing or quote should list the fit-out, so check it against what your team needs.
