Trailers Rental in India: How It Works

Trailers are how heavy equipment, steel, precast units and project cargo move between cities and sites in India. Hirers include contractors shifting their own machines, plant owners, project logistics firms and manufacturers sending large items to site. Suppliers list their own trailers on EquipmentsFinder, and renters deal with them by phone or WhatsApp. There is no charge to renters and no commission. A trailer needs a prime mover, so ask whether one is part of the hire.

Trailer Types

• Flatbed trailers carry general cargo, containers, steel and lighter machines.
• Low-bed (lowboy) trailers have a low deck for tall and heavy machines such as excavators and dozers.
• Extendable trailers lengthen to carry pipes, girders and wind-blade style long loads.
• Hydraulic modular trailers combine axle lines for very heavy or oversized loads and can steer in tight spots.

Payload Capacity and Deck Length

Weigh the load, then add its securing gear, and compare the total with the trailer's payload. Deck length and width must carry the load without it overhanging badly, and height decides whether it clears bridges and wires on the route. A machine on a low-bed trailer is usually taller than expected, so give the supplier the transport dimensions.

Axle Configuration and Load Type

More axles spread the weight, which helps with heavy and concentrated loads. A dense load such as a crawler machine behaves differently from a bulky one such as a cabin. Say which you have, so that the supplier can pick the configuration and the securing method.
