No drilling machines or rigs are listed for rent in India today. The India site has only just re-opened, and suppliers are still being added. If you have a rig to hire out, you can list it for free; if you need one, a request describing the job lets suppliers contact you directly.
EquipmentsFinder is a marketplace, not a rental company. Suppliers publish their own machines, and renters talk to them by phone or WhatsApp. EquipmentsFinder charges renters nothing and takes no commission. Hire terms, such as the period, the crew and the move-in cost, are agreed with the supplier.
Start with the hole: required depth, diameter and the ground it passes through. Soft alluvial soil, common near rivers and the coast, needs different tooling from basalt or granite. Foundation work calls for a rig that can hold plumb and carry casing. Exploratory drilling, where the aim is a sample, can often use something lighter. Ask the supplier which tooling comes with the rig and whether the drilling crew is included.
Foundation drilling has to meet a design: pile diameter, depth and verticality are fixed by the engineer, so the rig, casing and concrete supply all need to match. Exploratory drilling for soil investigation, water or minerals is about recovering samples or reaching a target, and it tends to need lighter, more mobile equipment. Say which kind of job it is in your request. Typical buyers of these rigs in India are builders, infrastructure contractors, well drillers and testing agencies.

That varies by supplier. Many rigs are hired with a crew, but this is stated on the listing or confirmed when you contact the supplier. Operators of heavy machines need a valid licence for the machine class.
