Need equipment? Have equipment?
Buyers post one request and get quotes from verified suppliers. Suppliers list free and reach active demand.
No drilling machines or rigs are listed for sale in India today. EquipmentsFinder has only just re-opened India, and this page will fill with listings as suppliers add them. Until then the quickest route is to post a purchase request describing the rig you need, so that suppliers can respond to it directly.
If you sell or trade drilling equipment, you can list a rig free of charge. Buyers see your phone and WhatsApp details on the listing and contact you without a commission to the platform.
Once listings appear, you browse by type, compare what each supplier states and contact the seller. Price, condition, hours, delivery and paperwork are agreed between buyer and seller. The platform charges buyers nothing. You can also read open requests on the inquiry board to see what other buyers are asking for.
Start from the hole: the depth, the diameter and the ground it passes through. A rig that is comfortable at 20 metres in clay may struggle at 60 metres in rock. Ask the seller for the rated depth and diameter, the mast or kelly details, and which tooling is included, since augers, buckets and bits can cost a lot on their own.
Foundation work needs torque and a stable carrier for large-diameter bores. Exploratory and geotechnical work needs accurate sampling, so a lighter core rig is often enough. Say which job the machine is for when you write to sellers, because it changes which rigs are worth looking at.
Buyers in India are typically piling and foundation contractors, borewell operators, mining and quarry teams and geotechnical firms. Each needs something different from a rig, which is why a clear brief in your request saves time on both sides.
Prices in India are shown in INR and are set by each seller. There are no prices to quote yet, so ask for a written quotation that states whether GST is included, and whether tooling and transport are part of the figure.
Listings will be placed by metro area: Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad. A rig in another state can still be bought, though a heavy carrier usually moves between cities on a trailer, so include that in your comparison. To hire instead of buying, see drilling rigs for rent.
It depends on type, depth rating, age and tooling, and each seller sets the price. No rigs are listed yet, so there is no figure to give. Post a request with your depth and diameter, and compare written quotations that state GST and transport.
Match it to the hole: depth, diameter and ground. Piling rigs suit bored piles, DTH rigs suit hard rock, and core rigs suit sampling. If you are unsure, describe the job in your request and let suppliers suggest a model.
New rigs come with warranty and current tooling. Used rigs cost less but need a closer look at the mast, rotary head, hydraulics and service records. For a short project, hiring may cost less than either.
Yes, arrange it with the seller before paying. Ask to see the rig working under load, check the hours meter and look for leaks, worn pins and cracked welds. Bring a mechanic if you have one.
Expect a tax invoice with GST details, proof the seller owns the rig and, for a self-propelled carrier, its registration papers. Confirm with the seller exactly what applies to the machine you are buying.
Post a purchase request. It is shared with suppliers, who can answer you directly with what they have or can source.
