Need equipment? Have equipment?
Buyers post one request and get quotes from verified suppliers. Suppliers list free and reach active demand.
No engines are listed for rent in India today. EquipmentsFinder has only just re-opened its India site, and supplier listings are still to come. Suppliers can list an engine for free, and anyone needing one can post a request so that suppliers get in touch.
A hired engine is a power unit, supplied separately from the machine it will drive. That makes the first question practical: what does it have to turn or power, and at what speed and load? Suppliers publish their own engines on EquipmentsFinder. Renters contact them by phone or WhatsApp and agree terms directly. Renters pay the platform nothing and no commission is taken.
Engine output is quoted in HP or kW, and a generator set in kVA. State which one you need, because they are not interchangeable. Also say whether the engine will run continuously (prime duty) or only during outages (standby). An engine rated for standby only is not suited to running long hours every day. Ask the supplier for the rating and the hours on the unit.
Ask for the make and model, the age and the service record of the engine. Find out who supplies fuel, filters and oil, and who attends if it stops. For a unit that will sit on a site for months, agree a service interval in advance. Check that the cooling, exhaust and mounting suit the place where it will run, whether that is a basement, a rooftop or an open yard. Buyers of this kind of equipment are usually contractors, warehouse operators and factories.
Nothing is listed, so there are no rates to show. Suppliers price in INR, typically by the day, week or month, and what is included changes the figure: fuel, delivery, installation and any technician. Ask whether GST will be added to the quote.
Engines are compact enough to move by truck, so a supplier in another city can still serve you. Listings will connect to the metro pages for Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad. To buy instead, see engines for sale.
In your request, give the power needed, the driven equipment, duty type, location and dates. Suppliers can also see open requests on the inquiry board. All rental categories are on the rent hub.
No engines are listed yet, so there is nothing to quote. Rates are set by each supplier in INR and depend on size, duty, fuel and delivery. Post a request and compare what suppliers offer.
Work back from the load. Give the output in HP or kW, the speed, the fuel and how the engine will be coupled or mounted. If it drives a pump or compressor, tell the supplier the model, because that settles most of the specification.
This differs from one unit to another. The rating is stated on the listing or confirmed when you contact the supplier. Say how many hours a day the engine will run, so the supplier can tell you whether it is the right rating.
Some suppliers will agree it, particularly for small units, but delivery and set-up often make a longer hire more practical. Ask for the minimum period before you commit.
There is no fixed radius. Each supplier decides how far it will deliver and what it charges, and states this on the listing or when you ask.
