There are 140 excavators for sale on EquipmentsFinder in the UAE right now, listed by 45 suppliers, of which 4 are verified. Sharjah accounts for 110 of them, split between Sharjah city (98) and Al Hamriyah (12); Dubai has 28 and Ajman 2. Komatsu (26), Hyundai (25) and Caterpillar (20) lead the brand count, ahead of Volvo, Hitachi, Bobcat, Doosan and Komac.
Buyers pay nothing to use the marketplace and there is no commission. Each listing carries the seller's phone and WhatsApp contact. Hire stock is on the excavator rental page, and other machine categories are reachable from the buy hub.
The grid above holds the current listings. Narrow it by operating weight, brand, year, emirate and whether the machine is tracked or wheeled, then open a listing for photos, hours and the asking price. 38 of the 140 excavators show a price; the others are quoted by the seller when asked.
The seller is contacted directly. EquipmentsFinder does not act as agent, hold funds or charge the buyer, and a dealer's verified badge means the company's licence and contact details have been checked.
Mini excavators, roughly 1 to 6 tonnes, do trenching for cables and irrigation, landscaping, villa footings and work inside buildings. They move on a small trailer behind a pickup and fit through a standard gate. Bobcat, which appears in the brand list with 9 listings, is a maker known for this class. Check the listing's operating weight to see whether a machine falls in this range.
Tracked machines make up most of the stock. 27 are listed as track excavators, and most of the Komatsu, Hyundai, Caterpillar and Volvo units are crawlers in the 20 to 30 tonne class that handle bulk excavation, road formation and utility trenches. Tracks give stability on sand and spread the weight on soft ground, at the cost of needing a low-loader to move between sites.
3 wheel excavators are for sale. A wheeled excavator drives on the road at 20 to 30 km/h, so it is favoured by municipal contractors, utility maintenance teams and anyone who moves between short jobs daily. It sacrifices some stability on soft ground, which outriggers and a dozer blade partly recover.
A long-reach machine carries an extended boom and stick for dredging lagoons, cleaning drainage channels and sloping embankments from the crest. None are listed under a separate subcategory today, so look for the boom length in the listing specification or ask the seller whether a long-reach front can be fitted to a standard carrier.
Operating weight is the first filter. Machines under 6 tonnes suit tight urban plots and finishing work; 13 to 16 tonne units cover general building sites; 20 to 30 tonnes is the workhorse class for roads, infrastructure and bulk earthworks; anything above 35 tonnes belongs on quarries and large cut-and-fill projects.
Then look at dig depth and reach against the deepest trench or the furthest point the machine must work from a fixed position. Bucket capacity determines cycle output and must match the trucks loading out. For UAE conditions, check the cooling package and whether the machine has been working in dust, since radiator and air-filter condition shows how well it has been maintained.
Many listings include a second bucket or a hydraulic breaker, so read the description before assuming the machine comes with a digging bucket only. Rock breakers are common on machines that have worked in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah quarries, and a breaker that has done heavy hours affects the carrier's boom and pin condition.
Augers, grapples, tilt buckets and quick couplers are usually sold separately. Confirm the auxiliary hydraulic flow and the coupler type on the excavator before buying an attachment for it, and ask whether the coupler is pin-grab or hydraulic.
38 of the 140 listed excavators carry an asking price. They range from AED 18,200 to AED 396,000, with a typical asking price around AED 144,500. The lower end is older or smaller machines; the upper end is late-model 20 to 30 tonne crawlers with low hours.
Listed build years cluster in 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2025, with 5 machines from 2025 showing that new stock is present alongside the used majority. Prices exclude VAT unless the listing says otherwise, and transport by low-loader is normally quoted separately.
Dubai has 28 excavators listed. The Dubai excavator page narrows the grid to those machines.
No excavators are listed in Abu Dhabi today, though the Abu Dhabi excavator page updates as sellers post. Buyers in the capital usually source from Sharjah or Dubai and have the machine delivered by low-loader.
With 110 listings, Sharjah is where most of the UAE's used excavator trade happens. 98 are in Sharjah city and 12 in Al Hamriyah. The Sharjah excavator page lists them all.
Ajman has 2 excavators listed. Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah have none today, but Sharjah stock is a short drive from all three and a purchase request reaches sellers across the country.
When the grid does not have the right machine, post a purchase request stating the tonnage, brand preference, hours limit and budget. Sellers across the UAE reply with offers, and there is no charge for posting.

Asking prices on the 38 priced listings currently run from AED 18,200 to AED 396,000, with a typical figure around AED 144,500. Smaller and older machines sit at the bottom, and late-model 20 to 30 tonne crawlers with low hours at the top. Prices normally exclude VAT and delivery, and the remaining 102 listings are priced on request.
Pick the operating weight from the work: under 6 tonnes for trenching and tight plots, 13 to 16 tonnes for general building, 20 to 30 tonnes for roads and bulk earthworks. Choose tracks for sand and soft ground, wheels for daily road moves between jobs. Then check dig depth, reach and bucket size against the actual task.
Most contractors in the UAE buy used, and the market supports it: Komatsu, Hyundai and Caterpillar machines with service history are plentiful. Buy new when warranty, fuel economy and a long contract justify the premium. Five 2025-build machines are listed today alongside units from 2014 to 2018, so both choices exist.
Yes. Arrange an inspection through the seller's contact on the listing and bring a mechanic. Check hours against wear on the pedals and seat, look for play in the bucket pins and slew bearing, inspect track chains and sprockets, run every function under load and read the fault codes on the monitor.
Expect a sale invoice from the seller, a copy of their trade licence and any ownership or import papers for the machine. Match the serial plate on the excavator to the paperwork. Excavators are not road-registered, so there is usually no registration transfer, but confirm the process with the seller for their emirate.
Komatsu with 26 listings and Hyundai with 25 lead, followed by Caterpillar with 20 and Volvo with 13. Hitachi and Bobcat have 9 each, Doosan 8 and Komac 5. Parts and service support for all of these brands is well established in Sharjah and Dubai.
