There are 27 track excavators for sale in the UAE today from 8 suppliers, one of them verified. Fifteen stand in Sharjah and twelve in Dubai. Bobcat has 8 ads, Komatsu 6, Komac 5, Kubota 3 and JCB 2, with Volvo, Caterpillar and Hyundai on one each. Only two ads show a price, so there is no typical figure to quote; ask each supplier for the price in AED and whether VAT is added.
A track excavator digs on rubber or steel tracks, which grip soft and uneven ground and spread the weight. It is the machine for trenching, foundations, bulk excavation, loading trucks and demolition with a breaker. Compare operating weight, bucket size, engine hours, track condition and the attachments included. The wider range, wheeled and tracked, is under excavators for sale, and a request stating the tonnage can go through post an inquiry.
Small excavators of 1 to 5 tonnes suit trenches, landscaping and tight access. Mid-size machines of 8 to 20 tonnes handle most foundations and utility work, and larger ones are for bulk excavation and loading trucks. Match the reach, the digging depth and the truck size, then check the operating weight on the ad.
Look at the undercarriage first, since tracks, rollers and sprockets are costly to replace. Check the bucket and pins for play, the boom and arm for cracks, hydraulic rams for leaks, and the swing bearing. Run it warm, operate every function and read the hour meter. Ask for service records.
It depends on the ad and the supplier. Buckets of different widths, breakers, grabs and quick couplers are often sold separately, and some are listed on EquipmentsFinder as attachments. Ask in writing what is included with the machine, and test the auxiliary hydraulics if you plan to use a breaker.
Track excavators travel on a low-bed trailer, since tracks damage roads and the weight exceeds a standard truck. The cost depends on distance and weight. All 27 listed are in Sharjah or Dubai, so local moves are short. Agree who loads and who pays for transport before buying.
