Aerial work platforms get people and tools to height safely, whether that is a ceiling in a warehouse, cladding on a tower or a light pole along a highway. Today 255 aerial platforms are listed for hire across the UAE from 55 suppliers, 1 of them verified. The category covers 100 boom lifts, 73 manlifts, 67 scissor lifts and 15 spider lifts, with JLG and Genie the most common makes.
Most of the stock sits in Sharjah emirate (150 listings), followed by Dubai (62) and Abu Dhabi (41), so a platform for a Dubai site may well come from a yard in Sharjah or Adh Dhayd.
EquipmentsFinder is a marketplace, not a rental company. Suppliers list their own platforms with working height, platform capacity and power type, and renters contact them by phone or WhatsApp from the listing. Renters pay nothing and no commission is added to the hire price.
Browse the boom lifts, scissor lifts, manlifts and spider lifts listed today, or post a request with the working height, site and dates and let suppliers come back with quotes.
Scissor lifts raise a large platform straight up, which makes them the usual choice for ceiling work, MEP installation and cladding where the lift can be parked directly below the task. Electric models suit finished floors indoors; rough-terrain diesel models have bigger tyres and outriggers for site ground. There are 67 scissor lifts listed today, from makes including JLG, Genie and Skyjack.
Articulating booms have jointed arms that reach up and over obstacles, so the basket can be positioned around steelwork, pipework or a parapet. They are the most listed type on the platform, within the 100 boom lifts currently available. Spider lifts, of which 15 are listed, are a compact tracked variant that fits through a standard doorway and sets up on outriggers, useful for atriums and tight courtyards.
Telescopic booms extend in a straight line and reach the greatest heights and horizontal outreach, which is why they appear on tower facades, bridge soffits and large industrial sheds. Most are diesel, four-wheel drive and built for outdoor ground, and listings normally state the maximum platform height in metres.
Vertical mast lifts and single-person manlifts take one operator and a few tools to moderate heights with a very small footprint. They are common in warehouses, retail fit-outs and plant rooms. The 73 manlifts listed are the second largest group in the category, and several are push-around or towable models that need no driving licence to move.
Working height is platform height plus roughly two metres for the person standing on it, and listings quote one or the other, so check which. Pick a machine with a margin above the task rather than one that just reaches, because working at full extension is slower and less stable. For outreach over an obstacle, a boom's horizontal reach matters as much as its height.
Platform capacity is the second filter. Two people with tools and materials often exceed the rating of a small boom, and a scissor lift with a larger deck may suit the job better. Also check the stowed dimensions and weight against the door openings and floor loading of the building.
Electric platforms have non-marking tyres, no exhaust and low noise, so they are the only option for occupied buildings and finished floors. They need a charging point overnight and firm, level ground. Diesel and bi-energy models have rough-terrain tyres, oscillating axles and greater outreach, and are the standard choice for open sites and external facades. Where a listing does not state the power type, ask before booking; swapping a machine on site costs a day.
Rates are set by each supplier and published on the listing where the supplier chooses to show them. Seven listings currently publish a daily rate: these run from AED 600 to AED 1,350, with a typical rate around AED 800 a day. Seven listings publish a monthly rate, from AED 4,125 to AED 8,000, with a typical figure around AED 6,000 a month.
The smaller electric scissor lifts and manlifts sit at the lower end and the large diesel booms at the top. Delivery to site, collection and any damage waiver are usually charged on top, and VAT is confirmed with the supplier. None of the listings currently states that an operator is included, so budget for a trained operator from your own team.
Dubai has 62 aerial platforms listed for hire today, all in Dubai city. Browse the aerial platforms in Dubai for stock based close to the site, or widen the search to Sharjah, which supplies much of the Dubai market.
Abu Dhabi emirate has 41 platforms listed, every one of them in Musaffah. The Abu Dhabi aerial platform listings are the place to start for projects in the capital, Al Ain or the western region.
Sharjah holds the largest stock, with 150 listings: 91 in Sharjah city and 59 in Adh Dhayd. See the Sharjah aerial platform listings. Suppliers here routinely deliver to Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah each have one platform listed today, and Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain have none. A request on the inquiry board reaches Sharjah and Dubai suppliers who deliver there.
Post a request with the working height, the number of days and the site location, and suppliers across the UAE will reply with quotes. Or go back to the equipment rental hub to look at other categories.

Of the listings that publish prices today, daily rates run from AED 600 to AED 1,350, with a typical rate around AED 800, and monthly rates from AED 4,125 to AED 8,000, with a typical figure around AED 6,000. Small electric scissor lifts cost the least and large diesel booms the most. Delivery and VAT are extra and confirmed with the supplier.
Measure the height of the task, then add a margin of one or two metres so the platform is not at full extension. Remember that working height is usually quoted as platform height plus about two metres. For reaching over an obstacle, horizontal outreach is as important as height, and only boom lifts offer much of it.
A scissor lift raises a large platform straight up and must be parked directly under the work. A boom lift carries a smaller basket on an articulating or telescopic arm that reaches up, out and over obstacles. Scissor lifts carry more people and material; boom lifts give far more positioning flexibility and reach greater heights.
None of the listings currently states that an operator is included, so most hire is dry hire and the renter supplies a trained operator. Whether an IPAF or equivalent card is required is a matter for the site and the supplier, so ask when booking. Some suppliers can arrange operator training or an operator at extra cost.
Yes. Daily hire is the norm for maintenance and short installation jobs, and seven listings currently publish a daily rate. Delivery and collection charges stay the same for a one-day hire, so for anything over a few days ask for the weekly or monthly rate, which works out lower per day.
Sharjah suppliers hold the largest stock and deliver to Dubai and the Northern Emirates as a matter of course, Dubai suppliers serve the city, and Musaffah suppliers cover Abu Dhabi. Transport is normally charged by distance or as a flat delivery and collection fee. State the site location when requesting a quote so the supplier can confirm coverage and the charge.
JLG is the most common make, with 111 listings today, followed by Genie with 42, Skyjack with 10 and Haulotte with 8. The most frequently listed model years are 2016 to 2019. Brand matters less than the working height, capacity and power type, but it is worth asking the supplier about service history on older units.
