Sixty-seven scissor lifts are listed for hire in the UAE today, from 20 suppliers. Sharjah has 40 of them, Dubai 15 and Abu Dhabi 12. JLG appears on 16 listings, Genie on 9 and Skyjack on 6, and a further group of listings carries other or unnamed makes. No supplier is verified yet.
None of the listings carries a published day or month rate, so there is no figure to quote. Suppliers price by platform height, electric or diesel drive and length of hire, and give the rate when you call.
A scissor lift raises a wide platform straight up on crossing steel arms. The platform takes two or three workers with tools and materials, which suits ceiling and cladding work, MEP installation, painting and warehouse racking. It moves only vertically, so it needs clear space above the work and cannot reach over obstacles.
Electric scissors run quietly and are the usual choice indoors; diesel rough-terrain models suit outdoor ground. Check the platform height, the load rating and the chassis width against doors and lifts. If nothing here fits, Post an inquiry. The parent page is aerial platforms for rent.
Sixty-seven are listed today, from 20 suppliers: 40 in Sharjah, 15 in Dubai and 12 in Abu Dhabi. Suppliers hold different stock on different days, so call to confirm a machine is free for your dates and ask about delivery to your site.
Electric lifts are quiet and produce no exhaust, which suits indoor work, but they need a charging point. Diesel rough-terrain lifts have bigger wheels and cope with sand and uneven ground. Tell the supplier where the work is and they will suggest which of their machines suits.
Platform capacity varies by model, from a couple of hundred kilograms to over a thousand. The rated load covers people, tools and materials together. Ask the supplier for the plate figure for each lift, and never exceed it.
Only within the maker's slope limit, which is small on most machines. Check the plate, level the ground, and use machines with tilt alarms. For sloping or soft ground, a rough-terrain scissor or a boom lift is the safer choice.
