A hundred and twelve lifting machines are listed for hire in Dubai today, from 51 suppliers, none of them verified yet. Forklifts account for 104 of them, telehandlers for 6 and scissor lifts for 2. Lifting equipment here means machines that handle loads around a yard, warehouse or site; cranes are a separate category.
Each listing gives the make, the year where known and the location, with the supplier's phone and WhatsApp number. EquipmentsFinder charges renters nothing. For machines in the other emirates, see the UAE lifting equipment page.
Browse the Dubai listings and call the supplier of a machine that fits, or post a request giving the load, the lift height, the dates and the site. Requests appear on the inquiry board.
The same steps apply on the equipment rental hub.
Komatsu is the most listed make in Dubai with 23 machines, followed by Caterpillar (15), Toyota (12), Heli (11), Hyundai (9), JCB (6), Mitsubishi (4) and Doosan (4). The types below are those that currently have stock.
Forklifts are 104 of the 112 listings. Diesel trucks work outdoors in yards, and electric trucks suit warehouses, where exhaust is a problem. Check the rated capacity at the load centre, the mast height and the tyres, which differ for rough yards and smooth floors.
Telehandlers have a telescopic boom, so they place materials at height or over an obstacle, as when stacking blocks or loading a scaffold. Six are listed in Dubai.
Scissor lifts raise a platform straight up for people working on fit-out and maintenance. Two are listed in Dubai.
Electric and manual chain hoists, winches, slings, jacks and lifting beams are not separate types in Dubai today. A posted request is the way to reach suppliers that hire them out, and to ask who supplies the test certificates.
Start with the heaviest load and the distance of its centre from the carriage, since a long load reduces what a forklift can safely lift. Add the lift height, the surface and the width of the aisle or gate. Indoors, an electric truck is normally the right choice.
If the load must go up or over an obstacle, a telehandler replaces the forklift. If people rather than goods need to reach height, a scissor lift is the machine. Give the supplier these details and they will match the machine.
Prices follow the type and capacity, then the hire period. Six Dubai listings publish a daily rate: these run from AED 30 to AED 1,800, with a typical rate around AED 800. Six publish a monthly rate, running from AED 170 to AED 20,000, with a typical monthly rate around AED 14,000.
The spread mixes small and large machines, so compare like with like. Most listings show no price. Ask whether the quote includes fuel, delivery and VAT.
Of the 112 machines, 111 are listed in Dubai city. This puts a forklift within a short move of Al Quoz, Jebel Ali (JAFZA), Dubai Investments Park, Al Qusais or Ras Al Khor. The listing shows where each machine stands, which helps in judging the delivery charge.
If none of the machines suits, post a request. The Dubai equipment hub shows the other categories in the emirate.
Post a lifting equipment request with the load, lift height, site and dates, and suppliers respond directly. The national range is on the UAE lifting equipment page, and machines to buy are under lifting equipment for sale.
Six Dubai listings publish a daily rate, from AED 30 to AED 1,800, with a typical rate around AED 800. Six publish a monthly rate, typically AED 14,000. The price depends on the machine type, capacity and hire period, so ask the supplier for a quote with delivery shown separately.
Lifting equipment on EquipmentsFinder means forklifts, telehandlers and scissor lifts, which move loads across the ground or place them at modest heights. Cranes lift heavier loads higher and further, usually under a lift plan, and are listed in their own category.
It differs between suppliers and is confirmed on contact. Many sites require a current inspection certificate before a forklift or telehandler may work, so ask for the machine's certificate and for the operator's licence when you agree the hire.
Some suppliers hire by the day, and 6 Dubai listings publish a daily rate. Delivery and collection can cost as much as the hire for a single day, so the cheapest short jobs are close to the supplier's yard. Ask about the minimum hire period.
All but one of the 112 machines are in Dubai city, and suppliers deliver on a flatbed. Confirm that the supplier can reach your site in Al Quoz, Jebel Ali (JAFZA), Dubai Investments Park, Al Qusais or Ras Al Khor, and ask for the delivery charge to be quoted on its own.
Usually not. One Dubai listing states that an operator is offered, and the others are confirmed when the supplier is contacted. Where the machine is hired without a driver, the renter provides an operator holding a valid licence for the machine class.
