Hiring a machine operator in the UAE
When you already have the machine, or you are renting one without a driver, you need someone to run it. The operators listed here are freelancers working across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates on excavators, backhoe loaders, wheel loaders, mobile and crawler cranes, forklifts and telehandlers.
Before you call, check three things on the profile: that they run the exact machine you have (a mini excavator and a 30-tonne excavator are different jobs), that they speak a language your site supervisor speaks, and whether they hold a UAE visa or freelance permit for the work. A green badge means our team has looked at their operator licence.
Most operators quote a day rate and a lower monthly rate for long jobs; some prefer you to ask. Agree the hours, overtime and who pays for transport before the first day.
Need the machine as well? See excavators for rent, cranes for rent and forklifts for rent, or post a request and suppliers will quote you for the machine with an operator.
Questions contractors ask
How do I hire a machine operator in the UAE?
Pick the machine and the emirate in the filters, open an operator’s profile to check their experience, languages and rate, then call or WhatsApp them. You agree the job, the hours and the rate with the operator directly.
Does EquipmentsFinder charge a fee?
No. Listing is free for operators and contacting them is free for contractors. We do not take a cut of the job.
Are the operators licensed?
Our team reviews every profile before it goes up. Operators who send their operator licence get a green “Licence checked” badge once we have looked at it, and they are listed first.
Can I hire an operator for one day?
Yes. Many operators take day work as well as monthly contracts. Most operators quote a day rate and a lower monthly rate for long jobs; some prefer you to ask.
I need the machine too. Where do I find one?
Every machine on an operator’s profile links to machines for rent in the UAE, or you can post a request and suppliers will quote you for the machine with an operator.
