Thirty-five Hiab trucks are listed for rent in the UAE today by 27 suppliers, none yet verified. Dubai has 17, Sharjah 10 and Abu Dhabi 8. By brand, Mercedes has 11, Mitsubishi 9, Hyundai 4 and Volvo 3, with a few others. Only one listing publishes a price, so there is no typical rate to quote; suppliers give a daily or monthly figure on request.
A Hiab truck is a lorry with a hydraulic loader crane fitted behind the cab. The crane lifts the load on and off the deck, so the truck can deliver and offload on its own at sites with no forklift or crane. Typical loads are blocks, pipes, steel, generators, containers of tools and site cabins. The crane's lift capacity is smaller than a mobile crane's, so check the load against its chart. Browse other vehicles in the trucks category, or post an inquiry to get several quotes.
Lift capacity depends on the crane model and drops as the arm extends. The supplier should provide a load chart giving weight at each reach. Tell them your heaviest item and where it must be set down, so they can confirm the crane is adequate.
Many suppliers send the truck with a driver who also operates the crane, but this varies and is stated on the listing or confirmed when you call. Crane lifts on construction sites need a lift plan, so ask who prepares it.
Mercedes has 11 listings, Mitsubishi 9, Hyundai 4 and Volvo 3. Others include Isuzu, Nissan and Doosan. Brand matters less than the crane rating, deck length and payload, so compare those figures across listings before choosing.
Suppliers charge by the day, the month or sometimes by the trip. Describe the load, pickup and drop-off points and the lift height. With that detail, ask for a quote that covers loading, waiting time and the return journey so offers can be compared.
