34 motor graders are listed for hire in Dubai today from 23 suppliers, 1 of them verified, and 33 of the machines are based in Dubai city. Caterpillar makes up 29 of the 34, with Champion, Shantui and Volvo on one listing each. This page covers the graders that can reach a Dubai site, from road base in the outer communities to plot levelling near Jebel Ali. For the rest of the country, see all motor graders for rent in the UAE.
Each listing gives the supplier's phone and WhatsApp number, so a grader can be priced and booked in one call. The Dubai rental hub shows the other machines that usually travel with a grader, such as rollers, trucks and trailers.
EquipmentsFinder is a marketplace, not a hire fleet. The supplier who owns the grader posts it with photos, model, year and yard location, and the renter negotiates directly with that supplier. Renters pay nothing to use the site and no commission is added to the hire. Suppliers list free and can pay for plans.
Among the Dubai listings that state a year, 1990, 1997, 2006 and 2007 each appear once, so the stock leans towards older machines. Ask for the hours, the blade condition and the service history before agreeing a month-long hire, and look at the tyres in the photos.
Dubai listings do not split graders by size, so the class is read from the model and the blade width in the description. The three classes below are how contractors usually think about the choice.
A small grader, with a blade near three metres, is the machine for narrow access roads, car parks and building plots where a larger frame cannot turn. It finishes tight areas that a dozer leaves rough.
The medium class, with a blade of about three and a half to four metres, handles most base course and sub-base work on internal roads and industrial plots. If the brief only says "motor grader", this is the machine most suppliers will offer first.
Large graders with a longer blade and more power suit wide carriageways and big earthworks platforms. There are fewer of them, so ask early and confirm that the lowbed move to site is part of the quote.
Choose the blade to suit the width being finished: a wider blade means fewer passes and a more even surface. Power matters when the material is dense or already compacted, and for work with the rear ripper. A light grader will spread loose fill well but struggle to cut hard ground.
Check whether the machine has grade control, as this reduces surveying and rework on jobs with tight level tolerances. Also confirm the scarifier and any front attachment, since these are sometimes extra to the listed machine.
Five Dubai listings publish a daily rate, and all five show AED 1,500, so that is the going daily figure for a standard grader here. Five also publish a monthly rate, running from AED 22,000 to AED 36,000 with a typical rate around AED 24,000. The higher monthly figures usually belong to newer or larger machines.
The other listings give no rate and are quoted on request. Ask what the price includes: operator, fuel, delivery on a lowbed and VAT are treated differently by each supplier, and transport can add a noticeable amount to a short hire.
Suppliers keep their graders in the emirate's industrial and logistics districts, among them Al Quoz, Jebel Ali (JAFZA), Dubai Investments Park, Al Qusais and Ras Al Khor. The listing states where each machine is kept, so a site in one of these areas can compare nearby yards and keep the haul short.
Graders in Dubai also work on projects outside the emirate. If no machine here fits the job, the Sharjah and Abu Dhabi pages list graders in those emirates, and the suppliers there often take Dubai work.
If none of the 34 listings fits, post a request with the blade width, site location, dates and whether an operator is needed. Suppliers reply directly, and the request also appears on the inquiry board. It costs nothing to post and no commission is taken on the hire. Graders are also offered for sale.
The five Dubai listings that publish a daily rate all show AED 1,500. Five monthly rates run from AED 22,000 to AED 36,000, with a typical rate around AED 24,000. Operator, fuel, delivery and VAT may be extra, so ask each supplier for an itemised figure before comparing.
For road base and general site grading, a medium grader with a blade of roughly three and a half to four metres is the usual choice. Use a smaller machine for narrow roads and plots, and a large one for wide carriageways. Tell the supplier the width and the material so the right model is offered.
It depends on the supplier and is stated on the listing or confirmed when you call. One of the 34 Dubai listings currently offers an operator. Any operator must hold a valid licence for the machine class, and on tight-tolerance work it is worth asking about their grade-control experience.
Some suppliers will, but the lowbed move to and from the site is usually charged on top and can rival the day rate. Say that it is a one-day job and ask for an all-in figure. Weekly and monthly hire is more common for road and platform work.
Suppliers with yards in industrial districts such as Al Quoz, Jebel Ali (JAFZA), Dubai Investments Park, Al Qusais and Ras Al Khor typically serve sites across the emirate, with transport priced by distance. The listing shows the machine's location, so picking the nearest one keeps the move short.
Caterpillar accounts for 29 of the 34 listings. Champion, Shantui and Volvo have one each. Brand affects how easily parts and experienced operators are found, but blade width, engine power, age and condition of the individual machine count for more, so compare those details on each listing.
