Four hundred and twenty-seven mobile cranes are listed for hire in the UAE today, from 150 suppliers, four of them verified. Dubai has 200, Sharjah 120 and Abu Dhabi 69, with 14 in Ras Al Khaimah, 13 in Ajman, 9 in Fujairah and 2 in Umm Al Quwain. The most listed makes are Liebherr (115), XCMG (84), Tadano (56), Sany (48) and Terex (30).
Fifteen listings show a daily rate. These run from AED 900 to AED 8,000, with a typical rate around AED 2,250. Sixteen show a monthly rate, with a typical figure near AED 32,500 and the highest at AED 110,000. Capacity, operator and hire length drive the difference.
A mobile crane is a truck-mounted or wheeled telescopic crane that drives to site and sets up on outriggers in minutes. It is the crane most contractors hire for steel erection, precast placement, plant installation and general lifting. Choose it by the heaviest lift at the radius you need; capacity falls as the boom extends.
Use the filters to narrow by emirate and make, then call suppliers. Every lift needs a lift plan. See cranes for rent, or Post an inquiry to reach suppliers at once.
Most searches name a capacity. Listings that state one in tonnes are on their own pages:
A crane's rated capacity applies only at its shortest radius. For a lift far from the crane, the load chart decides the size, so a 25-tonne load at 20 metres often needs a 70 or 100 tonne machine.
Of the 15 listings with a daily rate, prices run from AED 900 to AED 8,000, with a typical rate around AED 2,250. Monthly rates on 16 listings are typically near AED 32,500 and reach AED 110,000 for larger cranes. Operator, fuel and transport are often separate.
Work from the heaviest lift and the distance from the crane to the load, not from the headline tonnage. Capacity drops as the boom extends, so a 50-tonne crane may lift much less at a long radius. Ask the supplier for the load chart and compare it with your lift plan.
Many suppliers offer the crane with a licensed operator and sometimes a rigger and signaller, while others offer it bare. What the crew includes differs by supplier, so read the listing and confirm the line-up by phone before booking. Crane lifts on construction sites need a lift plan.
That depends on the supplier, the crane size and the distance. With 427 listings from 150 suppliers, there is room to ask several at once. Larger cranes need transport arrangements and set-up time. Call with your dates, address and load details, then compare quotes.
