Caterpillar Skid Steers for Sale in the UAE

4 Caterpillar skid steers are listed for sale in the UAE today, from 3 suppliers, 1 of them verified. All four are used machines and all are in Sharjah. The listings do not name a model, so the model plate and hour meter are the first things to ask the supplier about.

Caterpillar is a smaller part of the skid steer market here than it is for larger equipment. Across the UAE, 24 skid steers are for sale and 127 Caterpillar machines of all types, so a buyer who wants a Caterpillar compact loader should expect a short list and check it often.

Caterpillar skid steer models listed

No model names or years are recorded on the four current listings, so this page cannot tell you which Caterpillar skid steer series they belong to. Each listing carries its own photos and description, and the supplier can confirm the model when you call.

A skid steer is a compact, four-wheel-drive loader that turns by driving the wheels on each side at different speeds. In UAE work it does the jobs a larger loader is too big for:

• Clearing sand and spoil from site yards and narrow access roads.
• Loading trucks from stockpiles on small plots and villa projects.
• Grading and levelling with a bucket or blade before paving.
• Running attachments such as pallet forks, sweepers and breakers.

Radial-lift machines suit digging and grading near ground level. Vertical-lift machines reach higher, which helps when loading into the body of a truck. Ask which arrangement the machine has, because the lift path decides what it can load.

Prices

Only one of the four listings shows a price, which is not enough for a fair range or a typical figure, so none is quoted here. Used skid steer prices depend on age, hours, tyres and whether attachments are included. Each supplier sets the price, and the listing shows it where it is published. For the others, ask for a quote using the phone or WhatsApp button on the listing, or send a request and let suppliers come to you. The used skid steer price guide shows how asking prices have moved across the category.

What to check before buying a Caterpillar skid steer

Skid steers work hard in dust and sand, and the wear shows in a few places:

• Hours and service record. Ask for the hour meter reading and the last service date.
• Undercarriage and tyres. Uneven tyre wear points to heavy turning on hard ground. On a tracked unit, look at the rubber tracks and sprockets.
• Loader arms and pivot pins. Play in the pins shows up as a loose bucket at full reach.
• Hydraulics. Run the lift and tilt through their full travel and watch for slow movement or leaks at the couplers.
• Cooling. Dust blocks radiators quickly here; a clean core and a steady temperature gauge are a good sign.
• Attachments and quick coupler. Confirm what is included and that the coupler locks.

The machine should be seen running before payment, and the supplier should provide the ownership papers.
