Chassis: look for cracks near the fifth wheel, body mounts and axle hangers. Tipper or tank: check the hoist cylinder, the tipping frame, tank corrosion and pump operation. Gearbox and clutch: test for smooth changes under load. Tyres and brakes: uneven wear can point to alignment or axle faults.
