No containers are listed for sale in the UAE today. Shipping containers, site offices and reefers are traded steadily across the Emirates, and the grid above fills as sellers post. In the meantime a purchase request reaches sellers across the market.
EquipmentsFinder charges buyers nothing and takes no commission. Containers to hire for a project are on the container rental page, and the buy hub lists other site plant.
When a container is listed, the listing states its size, grade, condition, location and the seller's phone and WhatsApp number. The buyer contacts the seller, inspects the box and agrees a price directly. EquipmentsFinder holds no funds and charges no fee on either side.
Standard 20-foot and 40-foot dry containers, sold as one-trip (nearly new), cargo-worthy or wind-and-watertight grades. They store tools, materials and records on site, in yards and behind shops.
Converted containers and purpose-built portacabins fitted with insulation, windows, a door, lighting and split air conditioning. Sizes follow the container footprint, and units can be joined or stacked for a larger site office or a labour camp block.
Reefers carry an integral refrigeration unit and insulated walls, and serve as cold stores for food, pharmaceuticals and event catering. The condition and age of the refrigeration machinery, not the box, determines the value, and the unit needs a three-phase supply.
Workshops, toilet blocks, kitchens, guard rooms and kiosks built from containers. These are sold complete with fit-out, and the price reflects the conversion rather than the box.
A 20-foot container gives about 33 cubic metres and fits in a parking bay; a 40-foot box doubles the length and is cheaper per cubic metre. High-cube units add about 30 centimetres of headroom, which matters for racking and for a site office. Check the site's access for the delivery truck and the crane or side-loader that will place the box.
For long-term storage in the UAE, insulation or at least ventilation is worth having because an unventilated steel box reaches extreme temperatures in summer.
No containers are listed today, so no prices can be reported. When listings appear, the seller sets the price and shows it on the listing or quotes on request. Price depends on size, grade, whether the box is one-trip or used, and on the extent of any conversion.
Delivery is normally charged separately and depends on distance and on whether a crane or side-loader is needed to set the box down. VAT is usually added to the quoted price.
When listings appear, the Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi container pages filter the grid by emirate. None has stock today. The UAE's container depots cluster around Jebel Ali and the Sharjah ports, and a purchase request reaches sellers in every emirate.
Nothing is listed at the moment, so post a purchase request with the size, type and delivery address. Sellers across the UAE reply directly at no cost to the buyer.
No containers are listed for sale on EquipmentsFinder today, so there is no price range to report. When listings appear, the seller sets the price. It depends on the size, the grade from one-trip to wind-and-watertight, and on any conversion such as a site office fit-out or refrigeration. Delivery and VAT are usually extra.
A 20-foot dry box for tool and material storage where space is tight, a 40-foot box for bulk storage at a lower cost per cubic metre, a converted or purpose-built portacabin for a site office, and a reefer for cold storage. Choose a high-cube where headroom matters, and check access for the delivery vehicle.
A used cargo-worthy or wind-and-watertight box is adequate for most storage and costs less. A one-trip box, which has made a single voyage, is close to new and suits a site office conversion or a long-term installation where appearance and corrosion matter. State the grade required when posting a request.
Yes. Check the floor for rot and soft spots, the roof and corner posts for dents and rust-through, the door seals and locking bars, and whether daylight shows through the walls with the doors closed. For a reefer, see the refrigeration unit run to temperature. For a portacabin, test the air conditioning and electrics.
A sale invoice from the seller and a copy of their trade licence are the standard documents. Containers carry no registration, so no transfer applies. Note the container number from the door on the invoice. If the box is still under a shipping line's ownership, make sure the seller has title before paying.
Post a purchase request on EquipmentsFinder stating the size, type, grade, quantity and delivery location. It appears on the inquiry board, where container depots and dealers across the UAE see it and reply by phone or WhatsApp with offers. Posting is free and the request remains open until it is filled.
