EquipmentsFinder lists 3 spider lifts for sale in the UAE today, all from a single supplier in Sharjah that is not yet verified. All three are listed under the Platform Basket name. None of the ads shows a price, so the cost has to be asked for directly; request it in AED and check whether VAT is included.
A spider lift is a tracked platform on folding outriggers, built to work where larger lifts cannot go: through a narrow door, over a lawn or atrium floor, on a stepped surface or inside a building where floor loading is limited. Crews use them for tree work, facade cleaning, glass fitting, hall lighting and maintenance around obstacles. See the other types under aerial platforms for sale, or describe the job in post an inquiry to reach more suppliers.
A spider lift is far narrower and lighter, with tracks that spare floors and turf, and its outriggers level it on slopes and steps. It can go through standard doorways and lifts into places a boom lift cannot enter. The trade-off is a smaller basket and usually a lower safe working load.
Heights vary by model, so read the specification on each of the 3 ads and ask the supplier for the outreach diagram. The figure that counts is how far the basket can go sideways and over obstacles at a given height, not only the maximum height printed on the brochure.
Check the tracks and rubber pads for wear, run each outrigger out and back, and swing and raise the boom through its range. Test the levelling system and the emergency controls, and look for hydraulic leaks. Ask for service history, the hour meter reading and the latest inspection report.
Because it is compact, a spider lift can often travel on a small truck or a trailer, and some models fit in a van. The 3 listed units are in Sharjah, so confirm the weight and transport dimensions with the supplier and agree who loads it and who pays for the trip.
