Equipment Finders opened its Saudi Arabia marketplace for contractors who need a generator, a boom lift or a dozer without ringing round every yard in Riyadh. Today 11 machines are listed for hire across the Kingdom from 3 suppliers; none of the three has completed verification yet. All 11 are in Riyadh, so a site in Jeddah, Mecca, Dammam or Jubail is currently best served by posting a request that suppliers in those regions can answer.
The platform is a listing service rather than a rental fleet. Suppliers describe each machine (make, model year, capacity, whether an operator is offered) and attach their phone and WhatsApp number. A renter picks a category, reads the listing and contacts the supplier directly; the hire itself, including delivery and payment, is agreed between the two parties.
Where the right machine is not listed, a request posted on the inquiry board describes the job, the dates and the site, and suppliers reply with a quote. Renters pay nothing to use the service and no commission is added to the supplier's rate. Suppliers list free and may pay for plans that place their listings higher.
Four categories have stock at the moment: generators (5 listings), lifting equipment (3), aerial platforms (2) and dozers (1). By subcategory the listings are boom lifts (2), scissor lifts (2), crawler dozers (1) and forklifts (1). JLG and Cummins account for three listings each, with Genie, American, Perkins, Pramac and Toyota at one apiece. Model years run from 2010 to 2025, and seven of the 11 machines are 2024 or 2025 builds.
The largest group, with 5 listed. Cummins, Perkins and Pramac are among the makes on the platform, covering standby and prime power for site offices, labour camps and temporary works where grid supply has not yet been connected. Check the rated kVA against the connected load, and whether the set is silenced for use near occupied buildings.
Lifting equipment has 3 listings and aerial platforms 2; between them they cover boom lifts, scissor lifts and a forklift. The two aerial platforms are JLG boom lifts, one a 2018 machine and one from 2024. For a lift, the figures to match are working height, platform capacity in kilograms and whether the drive is electric for indoor floors or diesel for rough ground.
One crawler dozer is listed, suited to bulk earthmoving, site clearance and rough grading on larger plots around the capital.
Excavators, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, cranes, compactors, trucks, trailers, concrete pumps, compressors and the remaining categories each have their own page under this hub, with no stock in them today. Those pages explain the machine types, how to size one for the job and what to ask a supplier, and every one of them carries the request form that suppliers across Saudi Arabia see.
Rates are set by each supplier and shown on the listing where the supplier has published them; most of the current Saudi listings leave the price to be quoted. A hire is usually priced per day, per week or per month, with the monthly rate the lowest per working day. Ask whether the figure includes fuel, delivery to site and collection, and whether VAT is added on top.
None of the 11 listings currently offers an operator, so budget for a licensed operator where the machine needs one. Whether a supplier can provide one on request is confirmed when you contact them.
Three suppliers have listed machines on the Saudi site so far, and none of them has yet completed Equipment Finders' verification. A verified badge, when it appears on a listing, means the supplier's business details have been checked. Until then, the usual checks apply: ask for the machine's registration and inspection papers, confirm the model year matches the listing, and agree the handover condition in writing. Suppliers with equipment to hire anywhere in the Kingdom can list it free.
All 11 current listings are in Riyadh, which makes the capital the only place where a machine can be booked from the grid today. Delivery within the city and to the industrial areas on its edges is arranged with the supplier; a site elsewhere in Riyadh Province should be named in the first message so the transport cost is in the quote.
There are no listings in the Makkah Region yet. A request that names Jeddah or Mecca as the site reaches suppliers registered on the platform, including those who have not advertised individual machines, and the reply comes with a delivered price.
Dammam Eastern Province, with Dammam, Khobar and the Jubail industrial area, has no listed stock today either. The same request route applies, and the pages for each category under this hub say when stock appears there.
Contractors on building and infrastructure work, fit-out firms that need a scissor lift for a few weeks, facilities teams hiring a standby generator, and camp or event operators who need temporary power. Suppliers also use it when they are short of a machine for a job they have already won.
Post a request with the category, the dates, the site and anything the supplier must know, such as the kVA of a generator or the working height of a lift. Replies come by phone or WhatsApp. Machines to purchase rather than hire are on the Saudi Arabia sale pages.
Browse a category, open a listing and contact the supplier by phone or WhatsApp using the details on the page. If nothing listed fits, post a request describing the machine, the dates and the site; suppliers reply with quotes. The hire terms, delivery and payment are agreed directly with the supplier, and Equipment Finders charges the renter nothing.
Hiring suits a machine needed for a single phase, a generator for a few months, or a lift for one fit-out, because the cost stops when the job does. Buying makes sense for a machine that works most days across several projects. Many contractors hire first to confirm the utilisation before committing to a purchase on the sale pages.
The equipment type and size, the start date and duration, the site location, and whether an operator, fuel and delivery are wanted. For a generator, state the load in kVA; for a lift, the working height and platform load; for a dozer, the ground conditions. A complete request gets a firm quote instead of a round of questions.
Some suppliers accept single-day hires, particularly for lifts and generators that are easy to move. Others set a minimum term, because delivery and collection cost the same for a day as for a month. The listing states the minimum where the supplier has published one; otherwise ask when you make contact.
Not automatically. None of the 11 machines listed today is offered with an operator, and whether one can be supplied is confirmed with the supplier. An operator must hold a valid licence for the machine class. Where the renter provides the operator, the supplier may ask to see that licence before handover.
Verification checks the supplier's business details before the badge is shown on their listings. Of the 3 suppliers currently active on the Saudi site, none has completed it yet, so the badge does not appear on any listing today. Until it does, check the machine's papers and inspection records yourself before signing.
Every machine listed today is in Riyadh. Delivery beyond the capital, to Jeddah, Mecca, Dammam, Khobar or Jubail, depends on the supplier and is priced in the quote. Posting a request with the site named is the way to find out which suppliers will deliver there and what the transport adds.
Yes. Suppliers list for free by posting an ad with the machine details, photos, location and contact number. Paid plans are available for more visibility but are not required. Listed machines appear on the category and region pages, and the supplier also sees requests posted by renters on the inquiry board.
