Need equipment? Have equipment?
Buyers post one request and get quotes from verified suppliers. Suppliers list free and reach active demand.
No lifting equipment is listed for sale in Mumbai today. Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai have no seller stock on the site yet. A buyer in Mumbai can post a purchase request, and dealers and owners can list hoists, winches and rigging free. The India lifting equipment page covers the other metros.
Once an item is listed, the buyer reaches the seller by phone or WhatsApp, agrees the INR price and delivery, and pays the seller directly. Buyers are not charged anything on the marketplace, which takes no commission.
Port and yard handlers around JNPT, ship and boat repairers, factory maintenance teams at Taloja and Khopoli, elevator and building contractors in the city, and warehouse operators at Bhiwandi all buy this gear. Much of it is used where a crane cannot reach: stairwells, shafts, basements and narrow lanes.
Chain hoists lift on a beam or tripod. Winches pull loads along or up. Jacks and gantries raise and move heavy machines. Slings and rigging gear, such as chain, wire rope, webbing and shackles, connect the load to the hook.
Every item should have a clearly marked safe working load, and a buyer should not accept one without it. Choose a rating with margin, and allow for rigging angles. Mumbai's salt-laden, humid air attacks chain, rope and hooks faster than inland conditions, so inspect them for rust, pitting and stiff links. Ask for the manufacturer's or test certificate and keep it with the item. Stainless or galvanised rigging resists corrosion better where it is used near the sea.
Manual hoists need no power and suit basements and shafts. Powered hoists and winches save labour on repeated lifts, but need a supply and a trained operator. For rare lifts, hiring lifting equipment in Mumbai avoids the cost of inspection and storage.
Small items move by van or courier, while gantries and heavy jacks need a truck within the city's heavy-vehicle timing rules. The Mumbai buying hub lists other categories.
No prices are published because nothing is listed. Sellers decide these, and the safe working load, type and condition change the figure widely. Ask for INR prices with GST status stated.
Find out the heaviest load, the lift height and the rigging angle, then pick a safe working load that leaves margin. State whether the job is manual or powered. From these facts a seller can recommend a suitable item.
New with a certificate is the safer choice for slings, chains and hooks that carry safety loads. Used hoists, jacks and gantries can be good value once they have been tested. Avoid anything without a marked safe working load.
Ask the seller to allow a check of the item before you pay. Look for wear, rust, damage and markings, and ask for a test certificate. Larger gantries may merit a technician.
The base record is an invoice or bill of sale, plus serial numbers where items are marked. The buyer should receive the test or manufacturer's certificate. Confirm GST with the seller.
Post a purchase request naming the item, the load and the delivery point. Sellers who sign up can answer by phone or on WhatsApp. Posting is free.
