Associate AI Engineer
Dubai, UAE · Hybrid · Full-time · Engineering
Build the AI features contractors and equipment suppliers use every day on EquipmentsFinder, from search that understands plain language to the model that tells an owner what their machine is worth.
Apply by emailWhat you'll do
- Build and ship AI features into the marketplace: natural-language search, help writing listings and requests, Arabic and English translation, and equipment price estimates.
- Work with large language models through their APIs: prompts, tool use, structured output, and testing whether the answers are right.
- Turn marketplace data (listings, requests, prices) into datasets, and measure models against them.
- Write production TypeScript in our Next.js and Supabase (PostgreSQL) codebase, with tests, and see your work go live.
- Use AI coding agents every day, and review what they produce with care.
What you'll bring
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related field.
- Solid programming in Python or TypeScript / JavaScript.
- A good grounding in maths and statistics: probability, linear algebra, regression.
- Hands-on work with machine learning or language models. University projects, internships and open-source work all count.
- Clear written English.
Nice to have
- Arabic.
- SQL, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Something you built on an LLM API, with retrieval or embeddings.
- An interest in construction, heavy equipment or marketplaces.
What we offer
- Real ownership: what you build reaches customers in weeks, not quarters.
- Applied AI on live data from three markets: the UAE, Saudi Arabia and India.
- Hybrid work, with our office in Business Bay, Dubai.
- A small team where you work directly with the people who decide.
