South Florida has no rental machines on EquipmentsFinder yet, because the United States site has only just opened and no Miami or Fort Lauderdale owner has added a fleet. A contractor with a job coming up can post a request and wait for owners to reply. A company with idle iron can list a machine; listing costs nothing for now.
EquipmentsFinder is a notice board, not a rental yard. The renter finds an owner, agrees the rate by phone or message, and pays that owner directly. Since the shelf is bare today, the written request does the searching for you: name the machine, the address, the start date and the length of the job.
Condominium towers keep rising across Brickell, downtown Miami, Edgewater and the beachfront, and each one needs cranes, concrete pumps and hoists for many months. Freight moves through PortMiami and Port Everglades, so yard work, container handling and heavy haulage never stop. Inland, warehouse and housing projects spread across Broward and Miami-Dade.
The water table sits close to the surface and the ground is limestone, so excavation often means dewatering and rock breaking. Salt air eats exposed steel faster than inland weather does. Hurricane season, from June to November, brings wind limits for tower and mobile cranes, and owners expect booms to be lowered or secured when a storm is forecast.
There are no rates to show for as long as the shelf is bare. When owners reply, ask for the day, week and month rates, delivery, fuel, operator and any damage waiver as separate lines. Sales tax on rentals is handled differently from one deal to the next, so ask that it be itemized.
Describe the machine class and size, the site address, access for a delivery truck and the dates. Compare with Miami equipment for sale if the job runs long, or look at conditions in Houston and Atlanta.
Nothing is listed yet, so the quickest route is a posted request. Owners who see it can call or message you with their terms.
No fee at all, and the site takes no cut of the rental agreement.
Some owners supply one and others rent the machine bare. The reply you receive should say which applies and who carries the insurance.
It can. A crane or tall lift may be stood down when high winds are forecast, so ask how a lost day is billed.
Yes. Both cities share this page, so one listing or request is seen across the region.
Start from the ad form. There is no listing fee for now, and interested renters will contact you directly.
