Backhoe Loaders for Sale in Las Vegas

Buyers in the Metro

Utility contractors lay water and sewer lines across new subdivisions, and small excavation firms use the machine for footings, drains and driveways. Landscape and irrigation companies buy one for trenching, and municipal or school maintenance crews keep a unit for repairs. Because a backhoe loads trucks as well as digs, it is often a first machine for a new business.

What the Specification Means

Dig depth, bucket breakout force and loader lift capacity matter most. A longer extendable dipper lets the hoe dig deeper. Four-wheel drive helps in soft ground and sand. A cab with air conditioning is worth having in the long Nevada summer. Check that hydraulic circuits support a breaker or thumb if you plan to use one.

Backhoe Inspection for Desert Machines

Rock the boom, dipper and loader arms to feel for slack in pins and bushings. Check stabilizer cylinders for leaks and see whether both legs hold under load. Examine the swing mechanism, the backhoe bucket teeth and the loader bucket edge. Look at the transmission shifting and the brakes. Desert machines tend to carry dust in the engine bay and heat damage in hoses, so those need extra attention. Request the maintenance paperwork too.

Paperwork and Tax

You need a bill of sale with the serial number, a check for liens, and a title if the machine is road-registered. Sales tax should be a clear line on the invoice. If you only need a trench dug once, backhoe loader rental in Las Vegas may serve better.

Moving It

A backhoe can drive short distances, but longer trips call for a trailer. The Las Vegas buying hub shows other categories.
