Houston has no cranes advertised for sale yet. A buyer can send a purchase request with the capacity and budget in mind, and an owner can list a crane without paying. Wider choice is on the national cranes for sale page.
The site does not sell cranes itself. Buyers contact the owner, then settle price, inspection and delivery with that person and pay the owner directly.
Rigging and erection firms serving the refineries and chemical plants of the Ship Channel are the natural buyers. Steel erectors on warehouse and tilt-up jobs near the port need smaller units. Utility and bridge contractors also keep cranes in their fleets, as do equipment dealers who resell them.
Boom trucks and carry-deck cranes suit light lifts. Rough-terrain models cope with soft yards, all-terrain machines drive between sites quickly, and crawlers take the heaviest loads. Tower cranes are a separate matter and usually come with erection services.
Inspection records matter more with cranes than with almost any other machine. Ask for annual inspection reports, load test certificates, wire rope history and the maintenance log. Check boom sections for cracks and weld repairs, look at the outriggers and swing bearing, and test every safety device. Gulf Coast humidity and salt air accelerate rust, so look closely at the sheaves, pins and cables. Have an independent crane inspector review any machine you are serious about.
A crane sold for road use needs title and registration papers, and the bill of sale should list serial numbers. Delivery of a large unit may need permits and escort vehicles, which the seller should price. If you only need a lift for a short job, crane rental in Houston may cost less, and the Houston buying hub lists other categories.
No prices appear while the page is empty. Capacity, age, hours and inspection status drive the figure.
New cranes bring a warranty and factory support. A used one saves money if its inspection history is complete.
Title or ownership proof, inspection and load test reports, a manual with load charts and service records.
