Need equipment? Have equipment?
Buyers post one request and get quotes from verified suppliers. Suppliers list free and reach active demand.
No compactors are currently listed for sale in Riyadh. Rollers and plate compactors are needed at every stage of a road or building job, from compacting fill on a new plot in Riyadh Province to finishing the asphalt on a city street.
A purchase request reaches verified suppliers in every Saudi region and is free to post. Nationwide stock appears on the Saudi compactors page, the Makkah Region and Dammam Eastern Province pages cover the other regions, and other machines for sale in the capital are on the Riyadh buy hub.
Compactor listings show the type, operating weight, drum width or plate size, year and hours, plus photos and the seller's phone and WhatsApp number. The buyer deals with the seller directly. No commission is charged on either side.
Single-drum rollers compact soil and sub-base on earthworks; tandem double-drum rollers finish asphalt with a smooth steel surface on both axles.
Walk-behind vibrating plates for trench backfill, paving blocks, footings and small patches where a roller will not fit.
Compact padfoot rollers, often remote-controlled, that work inside trenches and on cohesive soil, kneading clay and silt in layers.
Rows of rubber tyres that knead and seal asphalt and chip seal, closing the surface after the steel drums have done the main compaction.
Granular fill and sub-base respond to vibration, so a heavy single-drum roller with smooth drum suits them. Cohesive soils need a padfoot drum that kneads the material. Asphalt needs tandem steel drums with a water spray to stop the mix sticking, followed by pneumatic tyres where the specification asks for them. In trenches and around structures, plates and trench rollers do the work.
No Riyadh compactor carries a price today. Prices are set in SAR by each seller, shown on the listing where published or given on request, and follow type, weight, year, hours and the condition of the drum, bearings and vibration system. Confirm VAT and delivery as part of any quote.
Each listing will state its location as sellers join, whether Olaya and the city centre, North Riyadh near King Khalid International Airport, Diriyah and the western corridor, or Al Kharj and the southern industrial belt. At the moment none of these areas has a compactor listed.
Describe the material, the layer thickness and the size of compactor needed, and suppliers reply directly. Requests from other buyers are on the inquiry board, and contractors with a surplus roller or plate can post a listing free.
Nothing is listed in Riyadh today, so there is no local compactor price to quote. Once sellers list, prices appear in SAR on the listing or are given on request. A plate compactor and a large road roller sit far apart, and weight, year, hours and drum condition decide where a machine falls. A request brings offers from across the Kingdom.
Choose by material first: smooth single drum for granular fill, padfoot for clay and silt, tandem drums and tyres for asphalt, plates for trenches and block paving. Then size it to the layer thickness and the area to be covered each day. A contractor with mixed work often keeps a roller and a plate together.
Used rollers and plates are traded widely and suit contractors with intermittent work, provided the vibration system, bearings and drums are sound. A new machine brings warranty, current compaction measuring systems and lower downtime, which suit a road contractor working to tight specifications. Test vibration at every setting before buying used.
Yes, arrange it through the seller's contact on the listing. Run the machine with vibration on, feel for excessive shaking at the operator's seat, check the drum shell and scrapers, look for leaks at the drum motors and the articulation joint, and on asphalt rollers make sure the water spray covers the full drum width.
Expect a sale invoice, the seller's commercial registration and the compactor's ownership or import documents, with the seller confirming which apply; a small plate may come with the invoice alone. Check the serial number against the papers, ask for service history, and set out the price, VAT and delivery on the invoice before money changes hands.
Not well. A single-drum soil roller lacks the water spray and drum finish asphalt needs, and an asphalt tandem roller is too light for thick fill layers. Some contractors use a combination roller on light base and asphalt, but most keep separate machines for earthworks and surfacing to meet the compaction specification.
