Buyers post one request and get quotes from verified suppliers. Suppliers list free and reach active demand.
No drilling machines or rigs are listed for sale in the Makkah Region today, whether for piling in Jeddah, water wells near Taif or site investigation at KAEC and Mecca. A drilling rig request is shared with verified sellers across Saudi Arabia, so stock held in other regions can still come forward. Kingdom-wide listings are on the drilling machines and rigs page, and Riyadh and the Dammam Eastern Province have their own pages.
Sellers describe each rig by type, make, year, hours, maximum depth and diameter, and the tooling included, adding a SAR price when they wish. The listing carries a phone and WhatsApp number, so the buyer contacts the seller, sees the rig and agrees terms without a middleman. EquipmentsFinder charges buyers no fee.
Rigs that turn a drill string to bore holes for foundations, anchors and exploration. Many convert between rotary and down-the-hole hammer work for rock.
Track-mounted rigs with a tall mast and kelly bar for bored piles under towers, bridges and industrial structures, such as high-rise work in North Jeddah and along the Corniche.
Truck- or trailer-mounted rigs with mud pumps or compressors for drilling and casing wells, used on farms and rural supply around Taif.
Smaller rigs that recover intact rock or soil samples for geotechnical and mineral investigation; the same family includes coring machines for concrete.
Ground and depth decide the rig. Near the Jeddah coast, loose sand, coral limestone and shallow groundwater call for casing and drilling fluid to keep the hole open. Inland toward Mecca and Taif, granite and other hard rock call for a down-the-hole hammer and a compressor large enough to clear cuttings. Check the rig's rated torque and pullback against the deepest, widest hole planned, and the mast, rotary head and hydraulics for wear.
There is no SAR range to give while no rigs are listed in the region. Prices are the seller's own, on the listing or on request. A used rig's value turns on hours, the condition of the rotary head, mast and pumps, and how much drill pipe, casing and tooling comes with it. Transport, VAT and any training are agreed with the seller.
When listings appear here, each will show its city, from the Islamic Port and Al Balad to Al Hamra, the airport and North Jeddah, Obhur, Mecca and Taif. Rig owners can post a listing free; the Makkah Region buying page covers other machines, and drilling rig hire fits a single contract.
Describe the rig type, hole depth and diameter, ground conditions, tooling required, budget in SAR and site, and sellers reply via the inquiry board.
Nothing is listed for sale in the region today, so there is no local SAR price. Rig prices vary widely: a core drill or small water-well rig sits far below a large piling rig. Depth capacity, torque, year, hours and the tooling package all affect the figure. A request sent to sellers returns asking prices for comparable machines.
Choose by purpose first: a piling rig for foundations, a water-well rig for wells, a core drill for investigation, a rotary rig for anchors and general boring. Then match torque, pullback and depth capacity to the largest hole planned, and the drilling method to the ground, with fluid and casing on the coast and a hammer in hard inland rock.
A new rig carries a warranty and current technology, sensible for a driller with steady contracts. A used rig costs far less but needs a careful check of the rotary head, mast, hydraulics and engine, and the tooling should be counted and measured. Parts and service support for the make in Saudi Arabia is worth confirming before committing.
Sellers normally agree, arranged through the phone or WhatsApp number on the listing. A useful inspection includes a short drilling run to test the rotary head, feed and pumps under load. Check the mast for straightness and cracks, the hoses and cylinders for leaks, and the drill pipe threads for wear. An experienced driller's opinion is worth the cost.
Ownership passes with a sale contract or invoice listing the rig's serial number and the tooling included, proof of the seller's title, and payment on agreed terms. Service logs, manuals and any certificates should come with the rig. A truck-mounted rig also has vehicle registration papers, so confirm the transfer steps with the seller before paying.
Usually not well. Water-well rigs are built for small-diameter, deep holes with fluid or air, while piling rigs turn large-diameter augers and buckets with high torque. Some rotary rigs cover anchors and small piles as well as wells, so a buyer with mixed work should list each hole size when asking sellers.
