No truck for sale is posted under Asir on EquipmentsFinder yet. A haulier in Abha or Khamis Mushait looking to add a vehicle must therefore search the rest of the Kingdom, or post a truck request so that sellers can come to them. Owners based in the south-west who want to sell can use the advert form.
Purchasing a truck for the Sarawat is mostly about what happens on the way down. A tipper or flatbed here repeats long climbs and descents, so the brakes, the exhaust or engine brake and the cooling system deserve the closest look. Gear ratios matter too: a truck geared for fast flat highways can labour on a steep ramp with a full load.
Ask how the previous owner used it. A truck that has hauled quarry stone on mountain roads has lived a harder life than one that carried light goods, and its chassis, springs and brake drums will show it. Underbody rust is a smaller worry in this cooler climate, but fog and rain can still push moisture into brake parts and wiring.
Test-drive the truck on a hill if the seller agrees, with a load where possible. Check tyres, steering play, air or hydraulic brakes, leaks and smoke, and compare the odometer with service records. Confirm the registration, insurance and inspection papers are current.
Prices are agreed in SAR, and the seller should state whether VAT is added. Transfer of vehicle ownership is done through the usual channels, so agree who pays any fees.
The nationwide trucks for sale page and the nearby Makkah Region trucks show current stock. For other machines, see the Asir buying hub.
Nothing is advertised in the region yet, so the quickest way is to post what you need.
Brake feel and fade, engine temperature, clutch or gearbox behaviour and how well the truck holds on a slope with a load.
A tipper with a strong body handles spoil and rock. Flatbeds suit blocks and steel, and small rigid trucks reach tight plots.
Verify the registration and inspection status, and confirm the seller can supply the transfer documents.
Most trucks drive, but check the distance and fuel. Some buyers arrange delivery with the seller.
Not always. Ask the seller to state it on the quotation.
